About the Author

Hey, my name is Dan Pearce. I am the author of the personal blog, Single Dad Laughing.

I never expected my blog to have much of a following, and I certainly didn’t expect it to become my life and career. The whole thing can be overwhelming at best.

I guess it’s my own damned fault. I blog about whatever I want to blog about, and more often than I’d like them to, the subjects get heavy. Bullying. Happiness. Societal issues as I see them. Parenting. Love. Religious dynamics. Bigotry. Lots more. There’s plenty of humor and light-hearted things mixed in, too.

Sometimes I think I’m going to go crazy with it all. A lot of people love me. But there are plenty of people who really can’t stand me, too. It’s what happens when you write the kinds of things I write. I’ve learned to accept it.

But that doesn’t change the fact that I wanna pull my hair out sometimes with the heaviness of it all. So to keep myself from ending up that way, I started this blog. My fantastic escape.

I’ve always enjoyed reading satirical news (fake news) that was meant to make you laugh. That’s all this blog is, with my own weird flavor mixed in.

Nothing in it is true. The posts are all 100% completely fictional. It is my attempt at reconnecting with the inventive/creative side of my brain and to have a little fun in the process.

This is my fantastic escape.

Oh, and a quick note: the frequency that I post on this blog will depend completely on how crazy my main blog is at the moment. I’m hoping to post here once or twice a week.
